Regional Compliance Manager - Overland Park, KS

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all required permits and licenses for all of Cogent's technical buildings
  • Develop, implements, and monitors company compliance programs and policies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety regulations
  • Monitors environmental and industrial compliance and maintains liaison with appropriate regulatory agencies
  • Recommends corrective action where environmental, health and safety hazard exist
  • Will need the ability to inspect our technical facilities to ensure compliance for all applicable regulations and safety requirements. Occasional travel required

Qualifications:

  • Minimum five years telecommunications experience in field or data center operations
  • Minimum three to five years’ experience in applying Federal EPA and California EPA regulations
  • Minimum three to five years’ experience in applying OSHA regulations
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Must have an excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Must be a self-starter and highly self-motivated
  • Must be able to collaborate with team members effectively to achieve desired results
  • Up to 1 year of academic training in OSHA/Environmental Safety/or another related field from an accredited university/college/trade school may be used for towards 1 year of required work experience
