The National Development Council Relies on Cogent's Consistency

The National Development Council's work focuses on homes, jobs, and community across the nation. NDC is the most experienced and comprehensive community and economic development nonprofit in the US.  NDC’s mission since 1969 has been to direct capital to support the development and preservation of affordable housing, creates jobs through small business lending, advances livable communities with social infrastructure investment, and builds capacity with hands-on technical assistance to local governments.

After 43 years in operations, NDC hired its first full-time, in-house IT employee and fully converted to run day to day business and file sharing on Office 365 cloud. Now, bandwidth is key to the company's operations. Since staffing a CTO, NDC has sought Cogent's presence in its offices in Seattle, Cincinnati, Cleveland, and New York based on Cogent's reputation, reliability, and presence throughout the US.

“Cogent is consistent. When you enter an office, you expect the lights to come on and the Internet to be fast. With over five years as a customer, NDC has not experienced a single outage,” says Antonio Palumbo, CTO of National Development Council. Furthermore, Cogent’s technical support has gone beyond their scope and responsibility to assist as needed and confirm resolution. Everything the NDC has read, seen and heard from peers utilizing Cogent has been reaffirmed, which allows NDC to fulfill its work in communities without concern of its network interfering with colleague and client communication.
