Job Info:

Cogent Communications is hiring a full-time warehouse Logistics Assistant for our Halfweg, NL office (Monday–Friday). You’ll handle shipping, receiving, and inventory control, while preparing international documentation and ensuring compliance with customs and duties requirements. The role also includes keeping the warehouse secure and organized, coordinating with vendors and employees, and occasional on-call support for urgent shipments.

Compensation: €40,000/yr.

Specific offers within the listed pay ranges are determined by a variety of factors such as experience, education, skills, certifications and business needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Reports to Amsterdam Logistics Manager
  • Unload, sort, check, verify, stock, pick, prepare, pack and ship merchandise
  • Monitor inbound/outbound shipments and provide communication and escalation with Cogent Communications employees and vendors
  • Conduct cycle counts and physical inventories as required
  • Maintain a clean, neat and orderly work area. Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse
  • Corresponds with parties within Cogent and vendors via email and telephone
  • Serve as a point of contact for emergency shipping, including after-hour and weekend on-call assignments
  • Preparation of documents for international shipments
  • Understand and apply a working knowledge of shipping regulations, customs and duties requirements, and other related concepts as required
  • On-call availability for emergencies outside of business hours

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in warehousing
  • Basic knowledge of MS Office
  • Fluent in Dutch & English
  • Experience working with shipping vendors i.e. UPS, FedEx and freight carriers
  • High-energy individual with interpersonal skills to work effectively with others, motivate peers, and drive projects to completion
  • Lift and carry 70 pounds
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods
  • Ability to perform functions and duties under the direction of management supervision

This is an in-office position, based in Halfweg, Netherlands office.
